How I Use AI

I’m Dan Gold, and I write and maintain The House Playbook. I use AI to help make this site, and I want you to know where it fits in.

Images

I use AI to create images for articles and checklists. These images illustrate the topic; they are not photos documenting a project I completed or proof that I used a particular product.

Website and tools

AI helps me build and improve this site, including tools such as calculators and interactive checklists. I review and test the tools before publishing them.

Advice and product recommendations

I use AI to help research, draft, and revise home advice, then check guidance against manufacturer instructions and reliable references. Each guide lists its sources and review date. That source review does not mean I have tested the steps or products in my own home. Where I describe hands-on experience, I identify it explicitly.

Many products I recommend are ones I have bought for myself. I want my suggestions to be useful in a real home, whether or not a page includes a shopping link.
